HOW TO SECURE WHATSAPP

 it is very important to protect your WhatsApp account.


 Activate Two-Step Verification 

If you only do one thing after reading this article, please do this:


  • Open WhatsApp
  • Click ‘Settings’
  • Then ‘Two-step verification’ 
  • Then select ‘Enable’.
  • Enable Security Alerts


WhatsApp will notify you via an alert whenever someone modifies their security code.


To enable this feature:


Navigate to: Settings > Your account > Security > Tick "Notify me of code changes"


This will increase your scrutiny over your contact's security codes.

To check your currently linked devices:


                             Settings/Linked Devices


                             You will be able to see all devices which have connected to your WhatsApp.


                            If you notice any unrecognized devices:


                            Log out Immediately


Install WhatsApp App Updates Regularly:


Change Your Two-Step Verification PIN:


Try to make it a point to review your Linked Device List on a bi-weekly basis.

Limit Who Sees You


You can set limits on who can see you by going to

                        Settings → Privacy Settings


Here you can determine the following:


    • Who will be able to view your profile picture;

    • Who will be able to view your Most Recent Activity Log;

    • Who will be able to view your Statuses.
