DELETED MESSAGES RECOVER
Method 1: Obtain Your Data from Instagram
Downloading the app is the most reliable way to obtain your data on Instagram. Instagram allows its users to download every data associated with their accounts to include the information in the following sections:
- Direct Messages
- Photos
- Videos
- Comments
- Profile Information
Method 2: Ask to Have The Information Sent to You
You’ll often find that this option works astoundingly, I have successfully found deleted messages, pictures, and videos shared through direct messages on Instagram by contacting friends I had previously sent those items.
Retrieve a screenshot of the message that contains the information you needed, a forwarded photo, or simply ask them to copy and paste to you the text you needed.
Method 3: Check Your Facebook Account If You Have Linked Accounts
If your Instagram account is linked to your Facebook account there is a chance for you to retrieve lost messages created through the service at least some of which may be stored within the application itself.
By checking Facebook for the sections containing message requests or archived messages you may find some of your chats still remain.
Method 4: Check the Archives
Not all chats on Instagram have been permanently deleted, some of them have instead been hidden or archived. The best-case scenario will be if you've completed the three previous methods and are unable to locate your chat history, you check the archive.
To check your archive; go to Instagram DM page and search through the person’s name. Keep scrolling until you can find the conversation you're searching for. If you find the conversation you're searching for means that the messages were only archived - they haven't been deleted from your DMs.
In summary, whether you're looking to recover deleted DM or retrieve chat history to process a payment, there are many options available to you using the guidelines above.
